“How’s it going?”
“Great! Super busy at work. Busy at home. We’re doing great!”
I do it all the time. We all do.
We tend to equate busyness with progress. If we have a lot to do, if we’re swamped, it’s because we’re clearly making a difference.
Or are we?
Busy isn’t a badge.
You can be busy with things that don’t matter. You need to learn to prioritize.
You can be busy doing things that don’t make a difference. You need to learn to quit them.
You can be busy, because you’re afraid of stopping. You need to learn to rest.
Next time you’re busy ask yourself why?
What could you quit?
What could you prioritize?
